Mohegan Sun: An Overview

What began in 1996 opening with the Casino of the Earth has evolved into the East Coast's premier entertainment, meeting, shopping and gaming destination.

Mohegan Sun Arena

Mohegan Sun’s 10,000-seat Arena, where the Smart Parts Paintball World Championship took place is home to electrifying performances and legendary events. The best of every generation and genre including Tony Bennett, Chubby Checker, Aerosmith, the B52s, Janet Jackson, as well as championship sporting events and intimate performances, have thrilled audiences at Mohegan Sun.

The arena has also hosted major national recording artists since its opening in 2001, including Gloria Estefan, Cher, Shania Twain, Simon and Garfunkel, David Bowie, Aerosmith, Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, James Taylor and Sting. The Arena was the site of the 2004 Davis Cup Team Tennis match between the United States and Austria. This international event featured US Team Captain Patrick McEnroe and tennis superstars Andy Roddick, Bob and Mike Bryan, Mardy Fish and Robby Ginepri.
